DFA Web & Branding
DFA Yale is an interdisciplinary group of undergraduate + graduate students who design and implement local, sustainable projects with the potential for national impact. We regularly collaborate with the New Haven and Yale community to learn + teach design thinking strategies. Past projects include collaborations with the Yale Peabody Museum, New Haven Reads, & Yale New Haven Hospital. With outreach and recruitment coming soon, my teammates and I wanted to refresh DFA’s identity and website.

Goals
Serving mainly to inform potential applicants as well as community partners, our site details our mission, leadership, past projects, and partnerships. As our team continues to expand rapidly, there were a few things our site and overall brand could improve upon:
Unique Identity– One of the most effective ways we recruit members is at the annual Extracurricular Bazaar, where incoming students have to sweatily maneuver their way through hundreds of tables, clubs pitching to anyone who will lend them an ear in the stuffy gym (fun, right?). With this in mind, our graphics should establish an identity unique to the other student organizations, while staying true to our core values.
Cohesive Design System: We use graphics for emails, social media, and other marketing needs. I wanted a cohesive design language that screamed DFA, but offered flexibility for our various needs.
